Since a radio station on 4TH St. signed off with Vic Slick behind the mic (I was there), KOLA is one of the best stations around. A lot of great classic songs BUT KOLA has seemed to forget the "off the wall" CLASSICS. Like "One Tin Soldier" which went #1 on a Canada radio chain, #26 on Billboard until pulled due to "legal squabbles", #1 all time requested songs in 1971 & 1973 by the American Radio Association. "Disco Duck" #1 billboard hot 100 for 1 week in Oct. 1976, #2 for the next 4 weeks, and stayed in the top 10 for the next 10 weeks. "The Streak" was #1 on Billboards Hot 100 for 3 weeks, #3 on billboards country singles, sold 5 million copies world wide. "Run Joey Run" #1 for 4 weeks in 1975. This is to name just a few of the forgotten classics.I would also like to add "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Snoopy VS. The Red Baron" just because I miss hearing them. P.S. please tell Vic Slick & Di Rice that I still have a VERY OLD dollar bill with their signature on it. Hope to hear the missing oldies soon! If I do start hearing them soon I'll change my ratings from 4 stars to 5. Thanks in advance, Mike in Running Springs
