I'm in my late 40's, and the music of this radio station seems to be targeting people in my demographic. A lot of this music was playing when I was in high school, and a lot of it sounds similar - nothing ground breaking or cutting edge here. Is cubicle music for offices for suburban middle agers really the best format for a college radio station. I know there are students at WCU who would love to have a voice through this radio station. But, what student is going to listen to this music??? This is embarrassing for WCU, and a true disservice to the students. If you are using this station as training for future broadcasters, do you really want to educate your students to work at a station of this low caliber and uninspiring character? It sounds like the music is piped in from some big corporation somewhere without any local flavor. Now that WCU has a new chancellor, I had hoped that this kind of blandness and big brother control would go away!
